The Tughra of Sultan Mahmut II (1808-1939)

“Mahmud Han bin Abdülhamid el-muzaffer dâ’imâ. (Adlî)” is written on the tughra. The tughra of Sultan Mahmut II and his pen name “Adlî” are on a red background. They are made in relief carving technique and inlaid with golden leaves. On the lower left side of the tughra, the name of the carver “Ketebe Haşim” is written. The tughra is encircled with a 1,5 cm thick frame made in relief technique. It is made of hornbeam.
